Bio: Coach Miles began his baseball journey with Wilshire Riverside T-Ball in 2017 and now plays as an outfielder and left-handed pitcher for his high school team, the Grant Generals. He also competed with Grant Youth Junior Baseball Organization, where his team earned a second-place finish at the state level. Known for his calm and focused approach, Miles helps players build confidence while learning proper mechanics and strong game awareness. Off the field, Miles is highly dedicated to his training, consistently working out at the gym five mornings a week before school. He also trains regularly with his teammates through coached strength training, batting practice, and pitching sessions, reinforcing his commitment to preparation, discipline, and continuous improvement.
Vision: Miles is especially passionate about helping players transition from coach pitch to kid pitch, a stage he remembers as both exciting and challenging in his own development. Having been in their shoes, he understands the importance of building confidence, learning proper mechanics early, and feeling supported on the mound. His vision is to give back to the game by guiding young players through this transition with patience, encouragement, and a strong foundation for long-term success.
Mentor: Miles has been coached and mentored by Brian Grant since 2020 and continues to train under his guidance today. Through this long-term mentorship, Miles has learned the value of proper fundamentals, mental focus, and preparation on and off the field. Brian’s influence has shaped Miles not only as a player, but also as a teacher, inspiring him to pass down the lessons, discipline, and respect for the game that he has gained through years of high-level coaching.
